

About Me
Hi, I’m Emily, the founder of SPROUT Wellbeing. My journey to becoming a health coach is rooted in my own struggles and breakthroughs. I’ve experienced the highs and lows of life, and nothing shocks me—I’ve been there, and I’ve done it.
My Story
​​At school, I was impulsive, loud, and full of excitement, but often felt misunderstood. When I was 17, I contracted glandular fever, which led to ongoing gut issues and food intolerances that changed my life. Despite these challenges, I started a career in recruitment, filling my days with work and my nights with parties.

In 2017, I decided to take a leap and move to Australia, where I lived until 2020. I felt amazing out there, but the partying continued, doing more harm than good. Returning to the UK, I found myself in a job that wasn’t good for my mental health, and alcohol became my way of coping, giving me the confidence I needed to get through.
​
Then, lockdown happened. At home, without alcohol, late nights or takeaways, I lost a lot of weight and felt great for the first time in a long time. I also joined the Salus Fatigue Foundation, which supports people holistically with Chronic Illness. But when furlough kicked in, I moved to London and slipped back into old habits—drinking excessively, hardly sleeping, and burning myself out from Thursday to Sunday.

My anxiety spiralled out of control. My hair was falling out, I was covered in eczema, constantly constipated, in pain, couldn't concentrate, broke and behaving impulsively. I had incredible friends and memories, but I was losing myself. It was then I hit rock bottom.
​
I took a break from alcohol for six months, read a lot of books, and found yoga. Yoga taught me balance, strength, and resilience. It also showed me the importance of focusing on my body and mind. Despite some setbacks, I was finally diagnosed with ADHD and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME), which helped me understand myself better.
​
That’s when I decided to turn my journey into something positive and qualify in naturopathic medicine to empower other people to improve their health and wellbeing. Now, I have a healthy relationship with alcohol and food, I’m kind to myself, and I spend a lot of time doing what makes me feel good. I eat well, move more, and focus on building a balanced life —whether that’s a healthy brunch, gym dates or the occasional cocktail.

Through SPROUT Wellbeing, I’m here to help others do the same. You can be open and honest with me—nothing will shock me because I’ve walked in those shoes myself. Let’s work together to transform your health, from the inside and out, to create a balanced lifestyle.
